Tokens are the small units of text SMARTCODER.ai uses to process and understand your survey data. They’re like the building blocks of language — each word, part of a word, or piece of punctuation counts as a token.
How Many Tokens Does a Survey Use?
Based on thousands of processed projects, an average survey — with around 750 open-ended responses — typically uses about 75,000 tokens. This includes:
- Reading all your responses
- Running multiple prompts and instructions per answer
- Generating summaries, codes, and insights
